Science, Unravelled, "Support for scholars with something worth sharing”

Developing Deconvolution – And Defining What Follows

Science should be clear. Support should be personal. And academic journeys, no matter how complex, should never feel isolating.

That belief, shaped over years of research, teaching, leadership, and most recently, personal change, is what sparked the creation of Deconvolution.

After stepping back from my academic role due to evolving caring responsibilities, I found myself at a crossroads: pause or pivot. I chose the latter, drawing together what I know best, science, communication, and cross-cultural mentorship, to build something new.

Deconvolution is more than a website. It’s a platform for students, researchers, and curious thinkers who want their ideas to resonate. It’s where molecular symmetry meets plain English, where an electrochemical method becomes a story worth sharing, and where support is shaped not by systems, but by people.

Whether you’re navigating thesis deadlines, crafting lay summaries, preparing for peer review, or simply trying to understand the science you’re passionate about, Deconvolution is here to help.

What You’ll Find
• Personalised academic support tailored to your subject, goals, and background
• Clear, jargon-free research communication services
• Tutoring in advanced topics like biosensors, electrochemistry, and applied health
• A growing resource hub for international students and early-career researchers

This is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, I’ll be expanding services, sharing insights, and inviting collaboration.

If you’re curious to learn more, explore a session, or just say hello, I’d love to hear from you.

Stay curious,
Chris
